Dear Ashley Ridge Parent and Student,

As the new band director at Ashley Ridge High School beginning 2008-2009, I would like to make you aware of elective classes that we will offer as pilot programs in our new high school. For students who may have missed signing up for band during their middle school years they may take a beginning band course offering instruction in woodwind and brass instruments. A beginning percussion course will also be offered. Students would be able to continue their music studies throughout their high school career as members of regularly offered band classes.

This is a great opportunity to earn a fine arts elective credit required for graduation.

Also enclosed is a flyer containing information on our upcoming color guard clinic and tryouts. This is an extremely fun and worthwhile activity that you will enjoy participation in at your new high school!!!
